Bishop's Garden Re-Dedication

A watercolor by Susan Lenczowski was presented to National Cathedral Bishop Mariann Budde by Martha Lewis at a ceremony for the re-dedication of the Bishop's Garden following a three-year renovation period. The painting, shown below, depicts a Norman Arch gate to the medieval garden.

Art League September Exhibit

Susan's painting, "Beach Towels," was displayed at the Art League's all-media, juried exhibit in September.

June show

In June, Susan will be exhibiting a number of her recent paintings in a joint show with her Washington watercolor colleague Ann Lee.

An opening reception at the Daystar Gallery will be held on Friday, June 7th from 5:00-7:00 PM.  Located in the Parish Center at Blessed Sacrament Church, the exhibit will display subjects of local interest and abroad.

In April, Susan was awarded first prize for watercolor in the 38th Annual Art Exhibit of the Women's Club of Chevy Chase.  The painting, entitled "Table with Fruit, Piney Point," is pictured below.

The Art League Patrons' Show

Susan donated two paintings, "Working Girls" and "Buoys" for the 2013 Patrons' Show at The Art League in Alexandria, Virginia.  This show, which features over 500 original works of art donated by members of the Art League, involves a gallery show, and a drawing, which took place on February 17.

January 2013 Art Show

Susan's painting, "Blue Martini Glasses," was selected for the January 2013 show at The Art League in Alexandria, Virginia.  

The juror, Trace Miller, commented that "the hallmarks of a successful work are technical proficiency coupled with personal vision."  He selected 119 pieces of artwork out of the 572 that were submitted.
